Admission Requirements

At NAKH Institute of Education, we proudly welcome students from all backgrounds. Whether you’re a domestic or international applicant, our admissions process is designed to be inclusive and supportive, helping you achieve your educational and career goals.

General Admission Requirements

 

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If under 18, contact us to discuss additional requirements.

  • Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following approved tests:

    • CAEL (50-70)

    • Cambridge (CAE-C, CAE-B, CPE-C) 

    • Can Test (4-5)

    • CELPIP General Test (7-12)

    • CLB (5-9)

    • IELTS Academic (5-8)

    • LLI Level 4

    • MELAB (80-92)

    • Oxford (B1)

    • TOFEL iBT (53-100)

If you do not meet the English requirement, we offer an English as an Additional Language (EAL) program to help you prepare.

Program-Specific Information

 

The Advanced Massage Therapy Diploma Program (2200 hours) is licensed through Alberta Advanced Education, making students eligible to apply for provincial and federal student loans.

The Advanced Professional Massage Therapy Program is specifically designated for international students and offers advanced training opportunities.

Financial Resources

Managing your finances is an important part of your educational journey. At NAKH Institute of Education, we offer a variety of financial resources and options to make your studies more accessible, whether you’re a domestic or international student.

Student Loans

 

Eligible students—including Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and protected persons—can apply for student loans to fund their education. Our financial advisors are here to guide you through the application process and provide support. For more information, visit Alberta Student Aid.

Student Loan Repayment

 

After completing your program, a six-month grace period is provided before loan repayment begins, during which interest accrues. Timely repayment ensures good credit standing, and if you face financial challenges, you may apply for the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP). Learn more at Alberta Student Aid.

Flexible Payment Plans

 

We understand that paying for education upfront can be challenging, which is why we offer payment plans for both domestic and international students. Our flexible plans are designed to help you manage your tuition costs conveniently. International students can also arrange payments through international payment plans. Schedule an appointment with a financial advisor to explore the best option for you.

International Student Fees

 

International applicants are required to pay the following:

  • International Deposit: Non-refundable $1000, credited toward the $2500 international administrative cost.

This is the only additional fee beyond the standard tuition. For detailed tuition information, please view our Tuition Package.

Tuition Fees & Refunds

NAKH follows the Private Vocational Training Regulation for tuition fees and refunds:

  • Full Refund: If you terminate within four business days of signing the student contract.

  • Partial Refunds:

    • 10% or less of the program completed: 75% refund

    • More than 10% but 50% or less completed: 40% refund

    • More than 50% completed: No refund

Refunds will be processed within 30 days to the original funding source.
